ANTHONY GOMES

Anthony Gomes is a Toronto-born guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer whose music occupies the loud intersection of electric blues and hard rock. Inspired by blues masters such as Muddy Waters and B.B. King, as well as guitar heroes including Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Eddie Van Halen, he combines expressive blues phrasing with thick riffs, fiery solos, gritty soul-rock vocals, and the energy of a classic arena-rock show. His own shorthand for the sound is: imagine B.B. King playing in AC/DC. Gomes began playing guitar at fourteen and released his debut album, Blues in Technicolor, in 1998. A pivotal moment arrived in 2005, when B.B. King's bus driver heard him perform at a jam, introduced him to King, and helped lead to Gomes opening a run of shows for the blues legend. He later shared stages with Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Heart, Sammy Hagar, and many others. ANTHONY GOMES Faded Doors open at 7pm
